Job Captains at Hornberger and Worstell play an extremely important role in the successful design and execution of our projects.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate as part of a collaborative team in development of the project design and documentation

  • Work directly with senior design and technical staff to develop project documentation for both design and construction submittals

  • Coordinate with engineering and consultant teams  

  • Provide leadership and guidance for junior staff and interns  

  • Participate in construction administration

Work together with office Production Director and BIM manager on the following items:

  • Maintenance of office wide Revit assets including libraries and templates
  • Management, review, and audit of exiting ongoing Revit projects at regular intervals for compliance with office standards, level of development, and proper modeling/documentation practices
  • Project and office REVIT troubleshooting
  • Mentorship and education of office staff on the latest techniques in REVIT


Minimum Qualifications: 

  • A professional degree in architecture or interior design
  • 3-8 years of experience in an architecture or interior design firm
  • Professional Licensure or demonstrated progress towards licensure
  • LEED AP or demonstrated progress towards accreditation
  • Ability to contribute as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary project team on both design and construction documentation. Experience working on complex commercial projects is a preferred.
  • Strong verbal, graphic and design skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the US with fluent English skills
  • Proficiency and/or experience in Revit is a must with “Autodesk Certified Professional for Revit” credential mandatory. Experience in AutoCAD and presentation graphics software such as Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
