EwingCole’s growing NYC office, located in the Penn Station area, offers a long-term career opportunity for a Healthcare-focused Architect with 8-16 years of experience.

We are seeking an individual with a successful track record interfacing with healthcare clients who is looking for the opportunity for career growth in a leadership role. We believe this individual, to represent the firm and successfully integrate the work of the many specialists on a project team, must bring a diversity of architectural expertise to the role including planning, design, construction technology, documentation, and construction administration. This individual will be primarily responsible for client satisfaction and for meeting EwingCole’s goals of design excellence, project quality, and financial performance. The position requires multi-tasking across overlapping project schedules and the flexibility to accommodate varying project sizes, phases, and roles. A portfolio presentation of prior experience should demonstrate the successful candidate’s capabilities in the design and production of projects in a “hands-on” environment while demonstrating a deep understanding of the Design and Construction Process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and lead multi-discipline teams of professional and technical support personnel in the successful implementation of projects
  • Maintain positive client relationships and cultivate working relationships with prospective clients, sustaining and growing the client base
  • Negotiate fees and scope with clients, prepare proposals and contracts
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Manage consultants and preparation of consultant contracts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Healthcare project experience, including familiarity with NYDOH codes and procedures
  • Familiarity with NYC regulatory environment including Building Codes, Zoning, DOB, City Planning
  • Excellent written, spoken, and graphic communications skills
  • Expertise in preparation of construction documents in BIM
  • Professional degree and NY registration
