Selldorf Architects is a 65-person, award-winning international architecture firm based in Union Square. The firm’s portfolio encompasses a wide range of projects from museums, libraries and galleries to multi-unit condominium buildings and high-end private residential.  Current and recent clients include the Frick Collection, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, David Zwirner, Hauser & Wirth, Steinway & Sons and the Sunset Park Material Recovery Facility.

We seek a Communications and Marketing Coordinator who is passionate about architecture, urbanism and visual culture. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong writing and graphic design skills who enjoys working as part of a team.

The position includes:

  • Working closely with the Partner-in-Charge of Strategy and Business Development and the Communications Manager, on all Communications and Marketing activities of the firm including new business proposals, press inquiries, lectures, awards and other external outreach. 

  • Write and edit project descriptions, project approach documents, firm and staff bios for proposals, publications, and other related material.

  • Oversee the production and design of new business proposals, awards and other supporting material. 

  • Maintain and update the firm’s website including News and Publications updates

  • Engage constituents through Social Media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other outlets. 

  • Maintain digital image library and other collateral material and coordinate requests from journalists and editors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, architectural history, art history, visual studies or communications.

  • 1-3 years relevant experience, preferably in an architecture or design firm

  • Excellent Graphic skills – particularly InDesign as well as the full Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and HTML. 

  • Strong writing skills

  • Self-starter who manages deadlines and works effectively within a collaborative team environment

  • Strong attention to detail – visual and written accuracy and precision required
