Position Summary:

HansonLA is seeking a talented project architect to join our firm. We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced, demanding professional environment, is detail-oriented and highly organized, and is capable of fulfilling leadership roles on projects. Experience in both design and production is a plus.


  • Responsible for various portions of project development in the following phases: Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents
  • Perform code review and work with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Coordinate engineering consultants, clients, and other members of the team for medium to large scale projects
  • Perform material research in preparation of project specifications
  • Assist in supervising project document control tasks and maintain quality control of such tasks
  • Lead and assist project teams in preparing construction documents, permit documents, and bidding documents
  • Construction Administration tasks including checking shop drawings, samples and submittals


  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Completion of five or six-year professional architectural degree program
  • Minimum 7 years experience in design development, architectural design, documentation, detailing; High-rise residential and Construction Administration experience is a plus
  • Ability to think and draw in 3d
  • Ability to confidently, clearly, and effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Proficiency in Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite Programs
  • Licensed in the state of California is a plus
  • LEED certified
