Starting with R. Buckminster Fuller's goal of affordable quality housing for everyone, I wanted to reexamine the construction of the single family house. Using experimental 3D printing technology, this project would be made out of lightweight, fiber-reinforced concrete SIPS panels that can be custom printed on site with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems embedded during the printing process that could be completed in a matter of days. This means that a small force of unskilled laborers could assemble the printed pieces extremely quickly and easily and no other work work be required to ready the house for habitation.
