Live/Work

Live / Work project is looking at how modern technology has changed the work environment. With the rise of the third (or fourth) industrial revolution, patterns of work have changed. With an increased ability to telecommute, andnew developments in custom product manufacturing,‘‘work’’ has shifted from necessarily being located at a site distinct from home to commonly being located in direct proximity to home. In light of these shifts in US work culture, this project challenge was to consider the nature
and relationship between working and living in an urban context.
There were several different work types to chose from, some of the work types were Art studio, Fire Station,Air B&B, Fashion, Daycare, Rehabilitation Center, and
Athletic Center. The building site for the project is in New York City, New York. The location is near the Whitney and located at the end of high-line of the meat packaging district.
