I am a U.S. registered architect with over 26 years of experience in large-scale building projects with over ten years of experience working in the Middle East. I am currently the RW Armstrong Director of Design.

As the Director of Design I am responsible for delivering world-class design projects from the initial concept and planning stages through implementation and execution. I coordinate the activities of the RW Armstrong design studios to ensure the realization of a coherent integrated design solution.

My primary role includes:

• ensuring timely and cost-efficient projects,
• developing facility programs with end users,
• working to ensure that designs fulfill the requirements of the owner and end user, and
• ensuring documents convey a high level of constructability.

I bring a distinct perspective as I have been a university faculty member, a client representative and a private sector architect. As a result of this background I have a unique understanding of the many viewpoints involved in developing a project from inception to fruition. My strengths include the planning, programming and design of:

• educational and cultural facilities,
• equestrian facilities,
• mission critical facilities, and
• non-process oil and gas facilities.

My expertise and ability to work with and coordinate consultants in all phases of the design process have led to the successful completion of many complex projects.

My previous experience includes the management, department directorship and business development activities for regional offices of a number of large American architectural firms and I have been a member of the faculty of architecture at the University of Colorado and a visiting critic at The Catholic University of America, Carnegie Mellon University and The Pennsylvania State University.
