As we know planning is invaluable but this was almost impossible for this client. a company with a 30% annual growth and with no end in sight, needed to move the operational offices to a new location that would allow for this kind or annual expansion.
We reviewed spaces with the client for a year, evaluating pros and cons of each location visited. The final result was a space 350% larger than the original, offering enough room to grow for the next five years.
Our next step was to develop a cohesive open-plan office with the idea that the space could easily be divided for subleasings for the present time. Once the client has grown into the entire space, the existing layout can be expanded so the work flow will continue to travel from one adjacent department to the next.
As the client confronted the first indications of a rough economy during the final stages of the project we were capable to review materials and make the necessary changes to keep this project in a tight budget without sacrificing the design or functionality of the whole.
