Jesse Hammer holds a degree from UCLA's Masters of Architecture program. While at UCLA, she was Managing Editor of three issues of POOL Magazine - a popular publication dedicated to an expanding definition of architectural work. POOL is an entirely student-run magazine sold internationally, which has received a prestigious grant from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts. Before graduate school, Jesse studied in Savannah, Georgia, and later moved to Chicago to work with Bureau Spectacular. While in Chicago she worked on numerous speculative and realized projects including the Treatise book series. Jesse has also worked for Design, Bitches in Los Angeles where she held a position as Intern Architect, working in both interior and architectural design. Jesse is currently on the Contemporary Council of Materials & Applications. Her experience includes architectural and interior design, illustration, publishing, installation design, exhibition design, furniture design, and production design. She is a skilled model-maker known for a deft use of color, strong communication skills, and an attention to detail.
