The house is located on a steep terrain on the side of the Sierra Madre Mountain. The project is surrounded by forest. One of the client’s requests was to not harm the terrain or the trees. During the design process every tree was accounted for, making a priority to save all of them. The concept was conceived by maintaining a small footprint using a single vertical volume that carried the entire building. Its privileged location made it possible for the design to focus on the outstanding views of the city.
