Sam Marshall Architects, Pensacola, Architectural Intern
As a intern architect at Sam Marshall Architects, I gained experience primarily in the higher education market which has given me the opportunity to participate in a variety of areas within the NCARB IDP curriculum. As an intern I have been exposed to design visualization, programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, specification writing, bidding & negotiation process, RFP/RFQ preparation, and some office/ I.T. administration. I am also LEED AP certified 2009.
One of the projects I have had a variety of exposure on, stems from a recently completed project which is a $30 million community services complex for a local state college. It includes a mixed program of a basketball arena, classroom wing, and emergency operations center totaling 120k sf. At this time I have experience with AutoCAD, Office 2010, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Revit and Sketchup.
