About

Imagine yourself between the trees and feeling the sun rays reaching you filtered through the leaves. That moment can make us feel like we are at the perfect place on earth, a place where we can spend our whole life. Being fond of trees, this winter break every weekend I used to go to Piedmont Park in Atlanta. I used to spend hours sitting there, walking there talking to the trees, which may sound weird but every living thing on this planet can communicate in its own ways. Being a reader of the philosophy of trees, since ages trees are considered to have the power of healing and as a designer, I believe we also have the power to heal and to create space, not only to provide shelter or shade but to create memories within.

The healing power of nature inspired me to take a path where I can also help people heal, to be happy, to experience every beautiful moment they live. There’s been constant travel and shift to countries since small age in my life. My surroundings turned out to be different in every country, which made me realize that it is the surroundings that we reside in, shape our lives. This constant shift made me realize that space has its own pulse, it communicates what it wants to be. This landed me in the field of design where now being an Architect and an analytical person my design strategies opt for the people.

My love for trees helps me stay focused, admire, explore and observe my contextual environment, which in turn evolves my design. I believe that Architecture is an art we live in, that shapes us; whereas Interior design is the soul of the environment created. As a designer, I start designing with only one question “In what way can a design benefits people?”

I am at the phase of exploration where like sprawling branches of the tree I would love to explore and evolve myself gaining immense knowledge in any sector of design.

Apart from designing as I fond f nature I love to go to parks, hiking and do activities in nature which brings in the calming aura.

Steelman Partners LLP, Las Vegas, NV, US, Interior Design Intern

Apart from the designing, The most exciting part of my internship was contacting and networking with the Reps of the industry. We had Wine and Cheese sessions almost every week where we had Reps come and showcase their products, and interacted with them building connections. Best 3 months of my work experience and me being lucky enough to attend the HD Expo at Las Vegas - It took my breath away seeing the hospitality world with a huge number of Reps there. And the fun part was there were reps I already knew and already had connected with who came to the company every week.

On the design aspect - I worked on choosing furniture and finishes, Creating concept boards and color palettes, working on construction drawings, and developing conceptual 3D models. I also developed various specification sheets for different projects.

Dhawal Deshmukh Designers, Pune, Maharashtra, India, Intern Architect

Stepping into the practical field, I was more than excited about the site visits. Apart from conceptualizing and developing designs, I was more than thankful to my senior architect who gave me the opportunity to have meetings with the client. Team meetings were always fun to discuss the point of view for best design solutions. Even though I was an intern he gave me the opportunity to do a project from its start to end - from conceptualizing to the issue of Construction Drawings to Site visits.
From the design aspect, I worked on creating and developing concepts to final 3D renders. I worked on developing full project drawing sets and municipal drawing sets.
