ThomsonAdsett Student Award for Design, 1st Place
The ThomsonAdsett Design Award is an annual award that runs as part of the mentoring program for students at Brisbane State High School. The award is given to high school students showing architecture and design skills during their high school studies. The First Prize winner receives a two month paid internship at ThomsonAdsett Architects.
Peter and Julie Bellas Art Bursary Award, 1st Place
The Peter and Julie Bellas Art Bursary was established in 2007 and is awarded annually to three Brisbane State High Students in year 12 who wish to pursue study in the Visual Arts beyond school. Students nominating for the award must satisfy this criteria.
The bursary consists of an interstate trip aimed at extending the students experience. The 2009 trip Included a visit to the Salvador Dali exhibition in Melbourne's NGV.
