I am interested in a position at a sustainable practice or strong architecture firm and am willing to take any position available. My passion for architecture and sustainability gives me the drive to do everything needed to succeed in this field and make it my career. I love architecture and the inspiration from its presence in the world and what can be learned from it.
I have received my Associates of Applied Science Degree in Architectural Technology and my Bachelors of Science Degree in Building Science and Sustainable Design from Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport,PA. The program focused on sustainable approaches to materials, design, construction, site development, and energy generation. This allows for the awareness of building fundamentals related to the measurement of building performance and can be directly related to the overall design of a building. Although the program is not a 5-year Bachelor that so many people are aware of the professors and the students hold each other to the same standards, which can be accounted for the 18 credits a semester and at least 30+ hours in the lab a week to do design work.
During my high school career I participated in the HEARTS program, which was created to help middle school students with homework and other activities after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays on a volunteer basis, which i kept until founding was cut short right before our senior year. During college I got involved with the Architecture Club, which later became the Architectural Student Association and after three years of service as a senior member joined the newly created Pennsylvania College of Technology Student Chapter of USGBC. Both these organizations allowed for the community services for the local area and trips to architectural sites and participating in various sustainable activities around campus and also allowed us to go to Green Build.
