Ismael Medina Manzano is graduated from the Architecture School of Madrid with Outstanding in his Final Degree Project and in the last call of the Master of Architecture he obtained Honor Registration. Previously he had graduated in Civil Engineering from the Burgos Polytechnic School with Outstanding in his Final Degree Project and he has also completed the Master in Building Information Modeling, Construction, Project & Facility Management of ETSAM.

During his studies he has worked in the offices of Coll-Barreu Architects, HFE, and Alberto Morell & Manuel de Lara, and has obtained various collaboration scholarships, such as, for example, the UPM in Agreements, Contracts or Research Projects and with the research group in Building Engineering at the UBU. He had the Erasmus scholarship at UniCT and was a finalist in the RPWB scholarship of the Fundazione Renzo Piano Genoa 2019.

His works and drawings have been published in, Walking the City: Barcelona as an urban experience, Paseando Palomeras: Participatory project for a neighborhood of Madrid , Models: Factum Foundation V2.0, Learning from Greece and El Prototipo. Intemac 2.0.

Currently, Ismael works in the TallerDE2 studio with Álvaro Martín Fidalgo & Arantza Ozaeta Cortázar, and for 3 years, he has collaborated as an assistant in the Lapuerta Teaching Unit in ETSAM and has recently been awarded the only MIT-UPM Fellowship available to an architecture student to be part of the MIT mediaLab research group.
