Following the delivery of previous successful airport lounge designs, Inside Out were appointed to create a new lounge for No1 Traveller at Heathrow airport.

The 970sqm lounge houses a host of facilities including a bistro, a bar, a family room, cinema, library and games room. In addition, the lounge design incorporates a travel spa and capsule hotel. The core element of the successful design has brought together all of the facilities in a free-flowing design with each area has its own individual style and ambience.

The carefully orchestrated routes in the layout of the lounge ensure that passengers can navigate and move from each zone easily and effortlessly. The interior fittings and furnishings also carefully incorporate aspects of the airport and use the airside location and panoramic views to their full capacity.

Once the preliminary design of the areas had been agreed, the design organically took shape with the use of finishes and fixtures. Employing modern and opulent fabrics, each area was styled to suit the activity and create the optimum experience for users. Family rooms are large, open spaces with plush seating areas whilst restaurants and bars are modern and functional for efficient customer service
