Hudson Studio Architects was hired in 2007 to plan and design the new home for the Blue School. The school, founded by the performance artists, Matt Goldman, Chris Wink and Phil Stanton and their wives Renee Rolleri, Jen Wink and Jennifer Stanton was operating out of several apartments above their theater on Lafayette Street in New York City. We planned the renovations of their new school, a 3,200 square foot space at 310 Houston Street. We created 3 classrooms, an art room, reception, director’s office as well as the Wonder Room. The school quickly outgrew this space and we were again hired to assess and plan their move to a 30,000 square foot space at 241 Water Street.
