Design: Hill Holt Wood operates within the oeuvre of sustainable development. We offer a direct link between designing and making, and we involve people. Community Involvement is often sought by clients, preferred by planners, and essential to truly sustainable design, and therefore is integral to the ethos of the Design Team. We also aim to be able to build the things we design, utilising the wide and varied skill base embodied by the staff of Hill Holt Wood as a whole.

Although primarily seeking to pass on the things that we have learned about sustainable construction through the design of buildings, we turn our hand to any task that requires a solution to a problem, at any scale. Typically, this includes design of graphics for web and print, furniture, pavilions, buildings of any size and master-plans. We aim to produce buildings which are sustainable - not only environmentally but also economically and socially. We seek to make use of recycled and renewable materials to create innovative, creative, low energy and high performance buildings at an affordable price.
