About

as a designer and educator the belief in a multi-discipleddesign starts with socioploitical

urbanism and ends with Technology, art and Media. As technology grows exponentially there is

this emergent ideology of architecture and its processes, one that mass customization and

computational systems can formalize and expand. The techniques that can be used range from

mapping of knots to scripting multiple variations of different algorithms, branching systems, and

fractals. What is most important is that all projects concurrently compute the patterns of social

and political systems [as well as the emergent ideology] in a metropolis and use it for the

building’s morphology. It is important to design and build in the urban environment with a

sociopolitical agenda that calls for sustainable urban social interactions as well as physical areas

and landscape to evolve those interactions. The idea behind it is that architecture has to evolve

into something more than the building of physical edifices, landscapes, and infrastructure and

so that we can develop a hyper-awareness of globalized sociopolitical issues surrounding the

built environment. This hyper-awareness of architecture is key to creating a soul or defining

something that can be more real than the physical aspects of building, where the attributes of

the physical are responses to the global issues that plague the urban environment.
