DHD joined Gensler on this project to collaborate on designing a workspace for commercial real estate financier Dwight Capital LLC, located in Hell’s Kitchen.
The building, which had just undergone a more than $100 million overhaul, offers spacious full floor views of New York City and the Hudson River, flooding the industrial space with natural light.
This lofty, open floor plan is characterized by its sprawling, polished concrete floors and exposed ductwork ceiling which are contrasted by pops of color and the warmth of the custom, locally fabricated, walnut office furnishings.
The main centrally located conference room floating in glass sets the tone for the openness and transparency throughout the space. The open workroom and office amenities, such as recreation lounge, fitness room, and generously designed kitchen, encourage the synergy and well-being of the firm. A lot of thought and focus went into providing comfort and convenience in the throes of a demanding city and work place.
