I had the great opportunity to work on this design/build project to be showcased during DesignPhiladelphia 2011. As part of a design team at OLIN, we participated in the Philly Works bench design competition to design and construct a bench to be used for various events throughout Philadelphia. The competition asked for the entry to be constructed from one 4'x8' piece of plywood within a timeline of seven days. Our entry, SEISMIC, was conceptualized from taking simple planes and machine milling a ripple effect from grasshopper code that manipulates the surface from point to base.

We tied for first in the competition in the professional category.
