Design and permission phase has been completed for a new-build apartment complex in Michaelkirchstrasse, Kreutzberg, Berlin. The project has been in development since 2012. The scheme consists of two buildings positioned around a central courtyard, in accordance with traditional Berlin apartment buildings (vorderhaus & hinterhaus). The proposed cladding of the facades  is to consist of small black ceramic tiles, with large glazed apertures and balcony spaces. The bronze detailing is a direct reference to design elements found in mid-20th century facades, particularly evident in the nearby Karl Marx Allee.
