BAM Fisher Theater at Brooklyn Academy of Music

This project involved the transformation of a historic 1928 building into a new home for some of BAM's emerging artists and community outreach programs.  The renovation of the existing two story historic building offers entry into the new six story addition which houses a new 250 seat theater, a 100 seat studio space and offices serving those dedicated to BAM's educational programs.

The Fishman theater is BAM's first fully flexible performance space.  All of the seats are movable and removable so the room can take on multiple configurations.

The rooftop terrace and the rehearsal studio provide unique spaces for BAM functions and offer views of the surrounding neighborhood.

My involvement in this project started with design development and I was fortunate to have seen this through construction administration.   I was fully involved throughout the coordination process with project engineers and acoustic consultants to produce a full construction documentation set.  I also was in charge of the LEED documentation used to achieve LEED Gold status.
