Hello!
My name is Halie Kim and I am currently a fifth year attending Pratt Institute’s
Bachelor of Architecture program. I am also minoring in Sustainability Studies and
expected to graduate in May 2023. I am currently searching for a full-time position
for when I graduate.
As a visual art major in high school, I have developed not only a strong sense for
design, but also an interest in the field of architecture. Through various courses
offered at Pratt Institute, I have gained a strong foundational education within the
context of architecture.
Throughout my high school career, I have worked as a mentor to middle-school
students and assisted with their portfolios and design skills. In addition, I have
worked various customer service jobs to gain experience communicating and
working with my peers. More recently, I have worked at architecture firms within
NJ and NYC to hone my practice and gain experience with different work environments, communities, and projects.
Although I am majoring in Architecture, I am currently not limiting myself to the
opportunities this major allows. Fields like interior design and positions that allow
me to gain knowledge behind a business are also of interest to me and I am hoping
to pursure a role that can constantly challenge my thinking and creativity.
I am currently residing in NJ and have commuted all five years of my college education.
I am willing to commute to and from NYC as it has helped me develop exceptional
time management skills, which I believe is one of my greatest strengths.
In addition, I am extremely committed and enthusiastic towards the endless potentials of architecture and design and am eager to contribute my skills and creativity.
Lastly, I am excited to meet new people and work in a close-knit community.
I believe that the skills and life long experiences I have gained throughout my
career have strengthened me not only as a person but also as an employee. I am
excited to be a part of a team that I can call family.
