The residential building at Carriage Works is the adaptive reuse of the former Martin Carriage Manufacturing facility. The four-story, 136,000 sf brick and timber building houses stylish and affordable loft-style apartments. The entrance sequence through the two-story lobby maintains the industrial character of the building. Additional amenities include multiple community spaces and areas for active outdoor recreation. Entirely new systems have been introduced including: thermally-insulated windows, a geo-thermal mechanical system, solar panels, and an extensive thermal envelope retrofit.
