Having worked with high rise hotels open new doors at MAI, a boutique design studio that thrives on hospitality design and creativity at international levels. Working for a P.E. at such an early stage in my career gave me the opportunity to develop stronger design skills, soon becoming the sole designer of the firm. This lead to the hiring of an office assistant to handle diverse tasks like paper work and filing for the Department of Buildings, previously done by me. With more time to focus on actual design and additional work load coming in, my responsibilities were increased, performing building code implementation, zoning analysis, ADA compliance. Eventually growing from residential projects to large development of multifamily houses and small commercial jobs.
