The Figural Church is the exploration of designing the contemporary church within a sensational atmosphere. The architecture itself becomes the figure as it vacillates between abstraction and representation. Using the circulation as a driving force in the project, the experience and atmospheric sensations change from each perspective. Creating an array of materials to drive the figure also play a key role in exploring the figure within the design. The various transparent panels and metal mesh act as a dissolving factor to the overall figure to create new sensational instances and projecting shadows which become new figures.
