I am an architecture student graduating in May from Penn State. Currently, I am working on my fifth year thesis. For my project, I am proposing an architectural identity to the growing electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
I have a passion for design and get immense joy from people using and interacting with my designs. I experienced this satisfaction first-hand during a design-build project in my first year of architecture school. Since then, I was positive that architecture is right for me. In my eyes, architecture's number one role is to improve the lives of its users, even in subtle ways. I am also interested in architecture's role with sustainability and branding.
I am seeking a firm to work for that has a strong culture where I can continue to develop and grow as an architect. I have no particular region I want to move to, and so it is more important that I find a firm that values design and innovative solutions as much as I do.
The Redmond Company, Waukesha, WI, US, Design Intern
As an intern, I was responsible for assisting the design team with a wide-range of tasks on several projects in various stages of development. My main responsibilities were taking care of redlines in Revit, managing the firm's materials library, adding details to renderings in Photoshop, taking existing conditions measurements, and making existing conditions drawings. I often worked on several projects simultaneously and was responsible for completing my work with little direct supervision.
