FSI thoroughly investigated the building and upon investigation noted that the upper part of the front facade was bulging and in danger of collapse. FSI also reported issues at the windows and sidewalk.

The firm coordinated restoration with NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission and presented the changes to the Community Board. Restoration work included dismantling and replacing the front facade, replacing windows with wood ones that matched the historical configuration, replicate lintels and sills and replace sidewalk to comply with city regulations. FSI also assisted the client in obtaining bids and secured the building permits throughout the construction of the project.
