Sales blend with storage, digital with analog. The Consumery is a new type of shopping center, a landscape of objects with constantly shifting value. An internet vendor keeps inventory onsite in a public storage unit and houses her digital store in a data center server. She also sells onsite as intersecting corridors become impromptu marketplaces. Openings in this matted building offer glimpses into chambers amassed with objects and fields of servers—a hoarding of objects at once valued and obsolete.
