North America Railway Hall of Fame, St. Thomas, ON, CA, Archivist
• Worked independently every day, scanning and archiving three record-keeping books (~1400 pages in total) to meet a deadline.
• Created a system of scanning to allow a fast and efficient method, while not sacrificing on quality of the scans, in order to meet deadlines.
• Photographed and edited via Photoshop photos of parts where scanning would harm the book or proved too difficult.
• Dedicated time to archiving the books while also allowing enough time to conduct tours and lend a hand during events.
• Listened and learned from the tales that people would often tell as they toured the building and incorporated those tales into the script of the project, when applicable and suitable, to help form a stronger connection to the site.
Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, CA, BArch, Architecture
Acquired a B.Arch from Carleton in the stream of Conservation and sustainability. Studied architecture, architectural history & theory and engineering, along with sustainability and conservation practices. Projects ranged from pure creative endeavours of sculptures to exploration of materials or colours to very focused detail drawings of junctions in a building. Each year consisted of a studio class, dedicated to the design process from beginning to end, guided by professors and professionals in the trade. Favourite class taken was Colour Theory with Gregory Andorian.
