I’m a graduate architecture student from University of Michigan and already complete my master degree in May 2015. Seven years of academic and practical experience not only helps me lay a solid foundation for architectural profession, but also makes me have a basic understanding of planning, urbanistic and landscape project, and now I’m really eager to broaden my horizon and to start off my career as a professional architect.
During my internship in Wuzhou Engineer, Beijing UA Design, and Studio19 Architects, I was involved in a variety type of practical projects includes apartments, cafeteria, office building, hotel, and several regional planning. I was able to participate in different design phases including predesign survey, schematic design, design development, construction document, and clients’ meeting. Apart from working experience, I also took an active part in architectural related researches: the mapping of historic preservation and the survey of local building condition makes me realize that architects can be capable and responsible for more than just design work. And I’m really excited about various types of work I can be engaged in and expected to become a versatile professional.
I’m really good at diagramming and predesign analyzing, mastering Sketchup, Rhino, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite. Furthermore, I am a faster learner, active problem solver, focused worker, and I truly enjoy the sense of belonging and sparks of ideas generated from group work.
