About 

Hello my name is Francisco Gonzalez Calatayud, I an originally from Mexico City where I studied my bachelor in architecture. I recently graduated from the Graduate School of Architecture, Planing and Preservation in Columbia University in the New York City where I studied a Masters in Advanced Architecture Design.

Employment 

Serrano + Monjaraz Architectos, México Distrito Federal, MX, Project Designer.

Worked with world renowned and award-winning Architect Juan Pablo Serrano, who was both my teacher and Project Advisor, on the proposal for the New National Technology Museum (MUNET) in Mexico City.
Project Designer.
 Influenced in the design by creating charts, which included architectural inspiration, materials, construction method and sustainable technologies
 Analyzed social behavior, environmental impacts and urban logistics in order to create a building, which not only answered to the architectural program, but also searched for ways in which the Project would have a positive impact on the city and its residents
 Worked as the liaison between the firm and both international companies such as Indoor Skydiving and Mexican artists to consider them as potential collaborators for the project’s execution
 Attended and participated in meetings with the Architect Francisco Serrano, landscape designers, technology consultants and renderists; all of whom participated in the design and presentation process.

Mexican Architect who has specialized on the design and building of residential houses amongst some of Mexico City´s most privileged and exclusive residential areas such as Bosques de Santa Fe and Rancho San Francisco.
Project Designer and Construction Supervisor. Tepozcuautla House:
 Designed the Architectural Project by working alongside the architect and the clients’ input in follow-up meetings.
 Worked as an intern during the two years of the construction, verifying the construction work and making changes to the architectural project and design when needed as the project progressed.
 Collaborated with the landscape design team (Jardin Sustentable) and the interior designer after construction was finalized to accommodate for the clients’ living.

Diámetro Arquitectos, México Distrito Federal, MX, Architecture Drawer.

The firm is famous for designing and building large-scale projects such as the Distrito Capital Hotel, Samara Shops and Tres Picos, all of which are located in Mexico City. They have won multiple national and international prizes such as the International Architecture Award for the Best New Global Design in 2011 for the Tres Picos Project in 2011.
Architecture Drafter.
 Worked on the Torre Cuarzo project, a collaboration with Richard Meier & Partners and the Mexican Firm. The project is currently under construction in Avenida de la Reforma in Mexico City
 Developed various layout arrangements for the sales team, working on the pitch for potential investors.
 Designed layouts for both the commercial areas of the building and its public spaces.
 Generated tables of quantification for materials; such as: concrete, Stone and glazing to estimate costs.
