Design Brief: We were challenged to propose an innovative and stimulating mixed-use
development, which provides for a blend of mainly single people in hostel
accommodation together with couples and small families as well as
premises for retail and commercial enterprises. We will need to allow for
some disable access apartments. The residential component of the project
should include design ideas for alternative living options that provide for
diversity in lifestyle and demographics.
Requirement: The site may be developed by a combination of public entities and
therefore should comprise a mix of public and private housing. A small
amount or commercial or retail space is required.
