FNA Studio - Fete Nature Architecture, pllc (FNA) was founded in 2015 and is a vital, collaborative architecture firm whose process is founded in research and investigation of new ways to inhabit the urban fabric. This method of working is informed by an aptitude for green technologies, resiliency, materials and unique fabrication methods.

FNA studio's team are experienced and insightful; utilizing their broad knowledge and experience of technologies and problem-solving within a multitude of industries and project types. They work on commercial, residential, institutional, research, product, landscape, zoning studies, and community-driven social and environmental justic projects. The firm is authentic and thorough in approach, maintaining a clear, strong voice, yet versatile and collaborative to adjust to the unique needs of any given challenge. 

FNA studio is founded by architect and passive house consultant, Julie Torres Moskovitz, AIA, LEED AP, CPHC/T. Her office completed the first certified Passive House in NYC in 2012 and she has been advocating and working on passive house projects ever since. She is principal and teaches courses in design studio and environmental technology at Syracuse University, Pratt Institute, and Parsons. She has also co-taught hyper-efficiency seminars at the Center for Architecture for the architectural and engineering community.

FNA's work has been featured in publications such as Dwell, Financial Times,New York Times, Topos, Wired magazines and design blogs. Julie and FNA have received a Taconic Fellowship from the Pratt Center, Institute for Public Architecture Fellowship, Parson's Kalil Fellowship for Smart Design, and a Stewardson Keefe LeBrun travel grant from the AIA. These fellowships help to forward the office's research and work with community including work for environmental and social justice. FNA has received several awards including; 2014 International Passive House Award, 2012 Passive House Certification of the Tighthouse by Passive House Institute, World's Coolest Offices 2011 by Inc magazine,a winner in the Total Housing: Apartments sponsored by Storefront, Actar and Architizer, 2010 Merit Award from NY Chapter of ASLA, and a 2006 NYC Green Bldg Award.
