HK Architects announces Nick Messerlian as the firm’s newest Principal, joining Heidi Hefferlin, Clif McCormick, and Alex Reyland to lead the growing architecture and interiors firm. 

Chattanooga, TN – April 13th, 2023– HK Architects is pleased to publicly announce Nick Messerlian to the position of Principal. Messerlian brings over 16 years of experience in architecture and interior architecture to the HK leadership team. 

HK Architects, formally known as Hefferlin + Kronenberg Architects is a full service architecture and interior design firm based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The firm currently has a staff of 29 and the firm’s portfolio is focused on civic, high end custom residential, commercial, adaptive reuse, and multi-family projects. 

Messerlian graduated in 2007 from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and spent a year studying at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad in Copenhagen. Messerlian spent seven years in New York City with Axis Mundi, a boutique architecture firm focused on residential interiors and joined HK Architects in 2014 as the lead in the Interior Design Studio.

Messerlian lives on Signal Mountain with his wife, Barbara, and two sons with a third baby on the way.
