McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture has received two of six Honor Awards presented by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Charleston Chapter at their annual design award ceremony. The Cooper School, a private K-5 school, and Mixson Bath and Racquet Club (with concept designer Lake Flato Architects) , a private swim and social club, were among the firm’s projects honored.
The Cooper School addition leveraged a limited budget to provide a new entrance and striking street presence through close collaboration with students and faculty.
Mixson Bath and Racquet, designed in association with Lake Flato Architects, provides amenities such as a pool and cabanas, bocce and badminton courts, a full service restaurant, bar and special event venues.
McMillan Pazdan Smith is a full-service design firm with offices in Asheville, Atlanta, Charleston, Greenville and Spartanburg. Recent Lowcountry projects include 400 Meeting Street, East Central Lofts, and interior renovations for the Mills House Hotel.
