The book 'Explorations in Urban Practice,' shortlisted for the Cornish Family Prize for Art and Design Publishing

We're super happy to share that our book Explorations in Urban Practice. Urban School Ruhr Series has been shortlist for the Cornish Family Prize for Art and Design Publishing at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne. 

The prize winner for one title of $15,000 AUD and five finalists of $1,000 AUD will be announced on 16 March 2018 during the Melbourne Art Book Fair. 

In a statement the NGV says: ‘The Cornish Family Prize for Art and Design will recognise the book in its entirety rather than individual elements such as graphic design or print production, making it unique in its scope, the prize aims to acknowledge publishing as a key critical practice around the world and support innovation in the field.’

The book, edited by raumlaborberlin, Urbane Künste Ruhr, Markus Bader, Katja Aßmann, Rosario Talevi, has been designed by Studio Yukiko and includes contributions by Juan Chacón, Dirk Baecker, Merve Bedir, Pablo Calderón Salazar, Bianca Elzenbaumer and Fabio Franz, Benjamin Foerster-Baldenius, Silke Helfrich, George Kafka, Valentina Karga, Gilly Karjevsky, Hannes Langguth, Laura Lovatel, Torange Khonsari and Andreas Lang, Marjetica Potrc, Anna Giulia della Puppa, Julia Udall, Sam Vardy, Sabine Zahn.
