The Supreme Court of the Netherlands reaches its highest point
The construction phase of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands, in The Hague, reached its highest point last 14th of January after finishing successfully the placement of the first floor glass façade. The building will stand firm on an earthy stone base giving rise to a crystalline superstructure.

In Paris, ISMO construction has started
The first construction phase of the new Institut des Sciences Moléculaires d’Orsay has started in Paris-Saclay area. ISMO is dedicated to science, education and communication as part of the new campus master plan of the Université de Paris Sud. It's built as a transparent factory for research. Here more images about the project.

GUZ University in Tübingen, Germany
KAAN Architecten is working on the extension of the Geo - and Environmental Research center in Tübingen which wants to promote the exchange between its various departments and the different campus buildings. The project consist of offices, laboratories and training areas. Click for further information about GUZ University.

Crematorium Aalst in Belgium
The serene scenario of the Crematorium Aalst in Belgium has been carefully transposed into a design that puts emphasis on natural light and varying texture. Here, neutral and intelligible spaces will be organised to comfort guests. The cohesive relationship between the building and the natural surrounding is essential. 

Bijenkorf in Amsterdam, The Netherlands
De Bijenkorf is the retail experience reference in the Netherlands with stores housed in historical and architectural landmark buildings in cities all over the country. KAAN Architecten is aiming to renovate the Amsterdam flagship store creating a future-proof framework to restore the building identity and create a space where various types of retail can blend together.

EXHIBITIONS

Institut des Sciences Moléculaires d'Orsay exhibited in Paris for "Paris-Saclay. Le Futur en Chantier(s)"
The exhibition "Paris-Saclay. Le Futur en Chantier(s)" from November 28th to December 20th, 2014 at the Maison de l'architecture en Ile-de-France in Paris, presented the progress of the ISMO project in all its scientific, economic and urban sides, and where the operation phase of urban campus is engaged.

City Hall Park on show for "The City as a Vision" exhibition at FRAC Centre in France
It is still possible to visit the exhibition "The City as a Vision" featuring the project City Hall Park of São Bernardo (São Paulo, Brazil), which KAAN Architecten designed together with DOMAIN. The project will be on show until February 22nd, 2015 at the FRAC Centre - Les Turbulences in Orléans (France). Have a look at KAAN news for further and more detailed information.
