100 Series* / illy

Coffee goes with my line of work. Without coffee, I am going to feel like something is missing in the day. I am going to feel awkward.

In the occasion of International Coffee Day, and dedicated to illy, for this short video only 100 variations (from indefinite possibilities) are tried out. Each installation or canisteructure is made out of 10 illy canisters, which are arranged in 100 different orders along an axis — vertical, horizontal or both.

There is an old saying that a bad day with coffee is better than a good day without it. So, enjoy your coffee and #LIVEHAPPilly. _ RZLBD

100 is an ongoing theme/project at Atelier RZLBD that explores serial works, taxonomy, typology, and iteration as a means to explore possibilities, to search for the best solution, if there is any; while remaining faithful to a set of rules, core beliefs, or a modus operandi if you will. Of course, this has been an old tradition among many artists and architects to investigate the creative potential of defined rules to articulate a body of work with coherence.
