The United State Institute of Theater Technology (USITT) has bestowed a Merit Award on SUNY Potsdam's new Performing Arts Center, designed by Pfeiffer Partners. The peer adjudicated award honors excellence in the design of newly constructed or renovated performance spaces. It receives submissions from around the world. Pfeiffer Partners' A. W. Clayes Performing Arts Center at California State University also received a USITT Merit Award in 2009.
