Luckett & Farley has partnered with the Veteran’s Club to design a tiny home community to help house homeless veterans.

The community, called Camp Restoration, will provide transitional housing for homeless veterans and their families and help them get back on their feet. Transforming five empty acres off Dixie Highway, Camp Restoration will include on-site programming to help address mental, physical and financial health so veterans are equipped to build a more secure future for themselves.

Luckett & Farley will do the site design pro bono, laying the groundwork for 25 tiny homes, a community center, offices, spiritual wellness center and landscaping.

Camp Restoration expects to break ground early in 2020.

According to Coalition for the Homeless’ website, about 25 veterans become homeless every month in Louisville alone.

Tiny homes have become a popular means to improve housing options for the homeless over the last couple of decades, and Luckett & Farley is confident Camp Restoration’s mix of physical shelter and emotional and intellectual programming will create a solution that other communities will want to implement.
