LAND Experience Center in Xi’an, China, designed by Executive Director Ping Jiang, is an interactive exhibition centre with a fully immersive space to showcase the city’s major developer LAND’s development strategies and vision for the city. It also serves as a sales and marketing centre for the company when needed. The project consists of an exhibition hall, a multipurpose room, administration offices and a separate display wing. Its sculptural form is derived from the local undulating topography reflects the duality and dynamics of Xi’an.
Designed by Andrew Bromberg of Aedas, Alibaba ‘A’ Community Development is a mixed-use project in Chengdu, China, consisting of office, hotel, residential, SOHO and retail programmes. It knits into the urban context while exploring the internal relationship between different usages, attempting to test how these programmes are related, positioned and infused into each other. Located at a new technology core in Chengdu, the project serves as a nodal development to the district.
The annual AIA Hong Kong Design Awards programme recognises excellence in architectural design of projects undertaken by its members in Hong Kong, China and Asia pacific.
