Rust Medical Center is Under Construction

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is building an $80 million patient tower at Rust Medical Center. The six-story addition will include private rooms for 120 beds and a 21,500sf cancer center. The hospital, located in Rio Rancho, NM, first opened in 2011 and was designed as a "plug-and-play" chassis so additional bed towers, like the one currently under construction, could be appended with minimal disruption.

The new cancer center and additional services at Rust Medical Center will support more patients and about 100 new jobs for healthcare professionals. Construction is expected to be completed by early 2016.

Presbyterian Healthcare Facilities hired architect Dekker/Perich/Sabatini and general contractor McCarthy Building Cos. to design and construct the hospital's new facilities. Both firms also worked on the original project for Rust Medical Center.
