The Lighting Practice is delighted to announce the recent promotion of David J. Seok, Associate IALD, to Project Manager. In addition to taking on this new role, David will also be relocating to the firm’s growing New York City office at 115 Broadway.

“Since joining the firm in 2014, David has continually demonstrated his outstanding value to our team and projects,” said Alfred Borden, FIALD, CLD, Principal of The Lighting Practice and Manager of TLP’s New York location. “His promotion to Project Manager is a recognition of his talent, diligence, and commitment to upholding TLP’s design and customer service standards.”

A New York native, David earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University. Prior to joining The Lighting Practice, he worked as a lighting designer for another Philadelphia area lighting design firm. David’s project work includes corporate, education, mixed-use developments, hospitality, and entertainment environments. He has also shared his passion for design and urban redevelopment as a volunteer with Community Design Collaborative and as a participant in DesignPhiladelphia’s 2015 Pearl Street Passage installation project. David also taught lighting design as an adjunct professor at Drexel University’s Department of Architecture + Interiors from 2017 to 2018.

The Lighting Practice is proud of the talent and creativity David brings to the team and to the lighting design community at large. We look forward to his continued success in New York.
