The Connecticut Building Congress (CBC) has named the winners of its 2019 Project Team Awards. Alfred R. Borden, FIALD, CLD, Principal of The Lighting Practice, was among six judges who assisted the CBC in choosing this year’s winning projects.

The judges selected 13 building projects, in 7 categories, located in Connecticut that exemplify project team excellence, extraordinary collaboration, and best practices in teamwork by the project owners, architects, engineers, constructors, and trades. The categories include Multi-Family Residential/Mixed Use, K-12 Schools, Landscape Architecture/Public Spaces, Major Renovations/Expansions: New Construction, Small Projects, and Transportation/Utility/Civil.

“The submissions represented a broad range of project types and sizes, but each showed a special focus on the team concept,” Al said. “It was very difficult to select winners from so many excellent entries.”

One project will receive the 2019 Project Team of the Year award at the CBC Awards Banquet on June 11 in Hartford, CT.

Since 1952, the CBC has been the premier forum for Connecticut’s building professionals to learn, grow, and develop strong industry connections.

Congratulations to the winning project teams.
