Five years after launching their inspiring speaker series “Collective Impact,” Buro Happold is gearing up to host an all-new lineup of inspirational speakers next Wednesday, March 2. The first of four planned for 2022 — and including the voices of prominent sustainability activists like the Sunrise Movement’s Angela Bai, Deborah Bloom with Accelerate Resistance L.A., and Jimmy Lizama of the Bicycle Kitchen, among others — this panel will showcase the voices of many of the most socially motivated leaders in the United States.
A list of the participating speakers follows, below. The series will also have more speakers for its upcoming 2022 events on May 18th, September 14th, and November 9th.
Under the umbrella of Buro Happold’s longstanding series, the March 2 discussion will touch on subjects illuminating how collective commitment within communities and between individual actors is fundamental to creating lasting change, either environmentally or socially. Speakers will tackle subjects from the climate crisis, resilience and wellness to diversity and inclusion, equity, and the economy and environment and much more, says Buro Happold associate principal Heidi Creighton, FAIA, who leads the Collective Impact series.
“In providing a platform to share innovative ideas and plans for creating more sustainable communities within Los Angeles and beyond, Buro Happold is proud to be able to bring together people and communities who are fighting for a better future,” says Creighton, who is also a LEED Fellow, WELL Faculty member and Fitwel Ambassador.
Understanding the nature of Collective Impact is essential to building a better future, as Buro Happold states, “now more than ever.” To attend and add their voices to the conversation, those interested may register here: https://bit.ly/3BVGSeg
