The two London studios for international design practice Scott Brownigg will consolidate from Monday 19 December. The Battersea studio, once the home of GMW prior to its acquisition last year, will move north of the river into Scott Brownrigg’s global headquarters on Endell Street, Covent Garden.
The move will bring the two London teams together under one roof in a larger office, supporting the collaborative working and knowledge sharing culture of the practice.
CEO Darren Comber said: “It was always the intention following GMW joining Scott Brownrigg last year that both teams would be located together under the one roof. As a practice we pride ourselves on our effectiveness in sharing knowledge and working collaboratively across all our UK and international offices. This move simply reinforces this valued way of working for us. We are delighted that the Battersea team will be joining us here in Covent Garden.”
Scott Brownrigg acquired and moved into their office building at 77 Endell Street in 2007. At this time the move saw two of their London offices again integrated into the one building.
In preparation for the consolidation, areas within the building have undergone major refurbishment and forms part of a wider refurbishment programme planned for 2017.
The practice was recently recognised as a Top 50 industry employer within Building Magazine’s Good Employer Guide 2016 and was ranked 5th largest practice in the UK within Building Magazine's Top 50 Architectural practices.
