Responding to issues such as the failing economic and political systems worldwide, growing discontent with capitalism and the dominance of its financial institutions, unemployment, social injustice, and the empowering created by social media networks becomes a necessity, if the discipline is to remain relevant and involved in the remaking of these structures.
