MILWAUKEE – Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA) was awarded the 2018 USGBC Wisconsin Leadership Award of Merit for Innovative Design & New Construction for the LEED Gold Certified UW-La Crosse Student Union, in partnership with Hunzinger Construction, at the 2018 USGBC Wisconsin Leadership & Transformation Awards reception.
The USGBC Wisconsin Leadership & Transformation Awards honor sustainability leaders who are driving market transformation within Wisconsin's built environment through innovative green buildings that engage the regional community.
The 2018 USGBC Leadership Award for Innovative Design & New Construction is awarded to a LEED BD+C certified project that demonstrates use of new technologies and strategies to push the envelope of green design and meet project challenges in an innovative way.
In addition to UW-La Crosse Student Union, two EUA projects recently received LEED certification:
EUA was also awarded the Focus on Energy Design Assistance Program Award for implementing energy efficient measures and renewable energy options in design.
